Psychology and Email Marketing: Social Tests
11/19/2018
Never underestimate the power of social tests. Nearly everyone is influenced by society- including your customers. Peer pressure and social influence go hand in hand. Just take this study on shopping habits for example- 63% of people said that there was a higher chance they would shop at a store that head reviews and product descriptions readily available on their site. Social testing, such as this, is important to include in your email marketing campaigns because they provoke a psychological reaction from customers- one that works in your favor.
Some social testing options include adding product reviews, customer testimonials, and survey results in your emails. Alternatively, you can opt to omit these things from the email content and instead include links to your website where this information can be found. This is a great way to get your customers interested enough that they enter your website. When someone visits your website, they are more likely to be converted into a quality lead or even a paying customer.
